CROSS THE WEATHER

I want to speak about this project because I found it very interesting.

It is about my first video game ever made.

I gathered all the knowledge I acquired for 1 year and put them in the game.

Pitch

The player is an entity coming from the Sun. A solar storm accidentally projected him on Earth and now he is in the cloud. He has to find a way to reach the Sun.

To achieve this, he must pass by different weather.

LEVEL DESIGN

Presentation of the different parts

TUTORIAL

In this tutorial, the player learn the jump mechanic and it's 5 jumps counter.

He also learns that use a bonus in the level reset his jump counter to 0.

WIND LEVEL

In this level, we introduce the wind mechanic. It will take an important place at this moment because the player won't be able to move forward without using it.

He must think if the wind is an ally or an enemy in different situations at different moments.

SUN/RAIN LEVEL

After the wind, a new weather appeared : the rain.

Passing by the rain will slow the player and he will move slower and jump less high.

To remove this negative effect, the player must use the solar ray.

STORM LEVEL

In the last part of the game, the player will face dangerous platforms and lightnings.

Progressively that the player move forward in the level, he has to be more precise because the number of danger increase and the platforms become smaller.
